What is ART MAKER?
ART MAKER is a curated contemporary art publication run and juried by artists. Released two to three times per year, our magazine features emerging and mid-career artist, presented in a professional yet accessible format. Each issue is shared directly with our network of 100+ galleries, curators, and arts professionals to help artists reach the right audiences. It’s designed to go beyond exposure — toward real relationships, opportunity, and support within the contemporary art world.
Our mission
We're on a mission to get emerging and mid-career artists' work in front of the eyes that can push their careers forward in the ways they find meaningful. We keep our open calls affordable and share each issue we publish with our growing network of gallerists, curators and art professionals. We are artists, too, and understand that the traditional route isn't always the best route, which is why we are always open to collaborating with people and organizations that are off the beaten path.
Our vision
We are creating world where artists are supported, seen, and understood through opportunities to share their work. Artists are visionaries, change-makers and culture-creators. The more opportunities they have to share their work, the more whole our world will be.
Our founder
ART MAKER is run by Meg Rogers Eldredge, a visual artist, illustrator and graphic designer based in Massachusetts, USA. She studied Fine Art/Illustration at Altos de Chavón La Escuela de Diseño in the Dominican Republic and holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York.
She has an active studio practice, focused primarily in painting and fibers. She is a mother, partner and garden tender.
