ART MAKER: Issue #2 - Digital Version

ART MAKER is a curated art publication where artists curate artists, creating thoughtful, community-driven issues rooted in connection and care. Each issue is shared directly with our network of galleries, curators, and arts professionals to help artists reach the right audiences. It’s designed to go beyond exposure — toward real relationships, opportunity, and support within the contemporary art world.

This issue is dedicated to Contemporary Illustration Around the Globe. And, once again, the submissions were exceptional. From narrative-driven work to innovative visual languages, the emerging and established illustrators in this issue demonstrate how illustration continues to shape and expand contemporary visual culture across the world. Representing 11 countries, the range of voices, styles, and ideas made curating this issue fun, inspiring, and deeply rewarding. 

This issue was juried and curated by illustrator Gaby D’Alessandro (Editorial / Children's Book Illustrator) and Meg Rogers Eldredge (Visual Artist, Illustrator, Founder of ART MAKER). Gaby’s interview and selected works appear at the end of the magazine, offering a closer look into her creative practice. Meg's interview was included in Issue 1 and can be found here.

ART MAKER is proudly artist-run and our mission is simple and intentional: to create space for artists to be seen, to grow professionally, and to connect with a global creative community. With each issue, our community grows and our purpose becomes clearer. We are building something lasting together — and this is only the beginning!
